Alisan von Frankenthal is our only Turkish Angora. We call
him Jens. We got him when he was a little more than 1 year
old. We needed a playmate for our kitten Malou who missed
the company of another cat after our old domestic cat died.
He was quickly accepted by all the family including Malou.
Even Mads who at first opposed to getting an all white cat
instantly fell for Jens. Shortly after we got him we had him
neutered and now we use him for cat shows and he is doing
very well.

Among
our cats Jens is known as “the policeman” as he has a
tendency to guide and control the other cats. He is a very
fair leader and is happy to intervene if the Turkish vans
are misbehaving towards each other. Jens is also very happy
to help raise small kittens. All though he has been neutered
he still likes to play and enjoys when the kittens look up
to him.
If you come to visit us you can be sure that Jens is the
first one to greet you. Even if you are not to fond of cats
there is no way Jens will not say hello. Jens has a tendency
to put his front paws on your legs, just as a small dog
would, and he will not back down before you have greeted him
properly.
