On 1st
April 2006 we went to a cat show in Struer with 3 of our cats. At the same
venue we had a special show for Turkish Van and Turkish Angora. Below you
can read how our cats did.
Alisan
von Frankenthal:
Our Turkish Angora once again did well on a show. He got his certificate and
also obtained a BIV. He was chosen for nomination, unfortunately he last to
a Holy Burma. In the special show he was named the best neutered
Turkish Angora and therefore won a very nice trophy which of course we were
very proud of.

Kedi’s Joachim:
Joachim also did well in his second show. This time he was a lot livelier
than on his first show which the judge also noticed and called him “A busy
boy”. The judge was very happy with the type and his colour. She also said
that his fur had a very promising quality. Joachim who is the only cream
Turkish van in Denmark had no competition in the show and again he obtained
an EX1. In the special show he lost to a beautiful red and white Van male.

Kedi’s Victoria:
Actually I only took Victoria to the show because she is for sale and
because the other breeders wanted me to so that there would be 3 Turkish
Vans in the colour black-tortie in order for one of them to obtain a BIV.
Victoria has far from perfect head markings
and
it took us by surprise when she got EX1 in the show and thereby beating her
sister who has very nice markings. The BIV went to a female in another
category who like Victoria has a very charming expression. The judge was
smitten with Victoria and wrote that she was “a lovely little lady” and
complimented her on her type, quality of fur and temper. In the special show
we were even more surprised when we realized that Victoria was named best
young female Turkish Van. This was far more than we ever would have guessed
and we were very proud. Victoria beat 2 other cats with far better markings
than hers, but the judge was certain that Victoria deserved her price.
