On sunday 13th january victoria gave birth to her second
litter. We had been awaiting the litter patiently as we all ready expected
Victoria to give birth on thursday 10th january. That was not the case, but
it was a pleasant surprise to wake up to sunday morning.
Mads woke up because of a small squeaking sound. Tim was
sitting in the box where Victoria was supposed to give birth to her kittens,
he was very busy looking in to my closet. There we
found Victoria nicely tucked into all my underwear with her newborn blue
kitten that came into the world around 10 o'clock.
Tim and Victoria were allowed to say
hello to each other and then we took Tim out of our bedroom just to be safe
to avoid any conflicts between the two lovers. After that Victoria
very nicely jump into the box and we took the blue kitten
out of the closet and put her with her mother.
It did not take long before the labour pains started
again and allready at 10.15 Victoria gave birth to the second kitten, this
time a black/white kitten with plenty of colour on the head.
We were very surprised by this because in her last litter
there was not so much coloured markings on the kittens but offcourse we are
very pleased that she did not hold back with the colour this time.
After almost an hour she gave birth to her third kitten
at 11.13, a little tortie girl with nice markings on her head. It is almost
as if she has double van-markings because she has an extra set of markings
on her back. We find this very charming.
The last kitten was born at 11.49 and is a beautiful red/white
boy with, in my opinion, excellent markings.
Also this time Victoria gave birth to some large kittens. The smallest weighed 104 grams while the largest weighed 126 grams just after the birth.
