Turkish Van A-litter

My first litter was born on 7th June 2005. Malou chose to give birth underneath my duvet which meant that I had to sit and hold her paw during most of the delivery. The delivery took most of the night and the outcome was 3 lovely kittens.

Unfortunately later on the next day we had to take Malou to the vet where she had a Caesarian to deliver the fourth and final kitten. We were sorry to find out that the last kitten was stillborn. Fortunately Malou was able to take good care of her 3 kittens.
My first litter was as I mentioned before born on 7th June 2005. That just happens to be the birthday of the Danish Prince Joachim and therefore we chose to name our kittens after royalty. We had already discussed possible names for the kittens but as the delivery took place on this specific date we easily found other names. Now we have a bit of fun over the fact that the city-busses fly flags on our kittens’ birthday.

To day all 3 kittens are in great shape. We still have Victoria left who we would like to find a good home for when we are finished using her for breeding. And if we can not find her a great home Mads would love to keep her by himself. Victoria is a very sweet and calm cat that really appriciate contact with us humans. She is incredable charming with her very lovely ood-eyed look.
Joachim has been used for breeding one time. He is the only cream coloured Turkish Van in Denmark and we would like to pass this colour on to new lines. Cleopatra is happy with her new owner. We are regularly in contact with Bodil and have also been able to meet Cleopatra on Cat Shows. In 2006 Cleopatra became International Champion despite her young age.
